I’ve known Mamie since she was about 14 years old.  I was her tutor when I was in business school and we became lifelong friends during that time.  She’s spent holidays with my family and now she and I have traveled in India together.  She brought a friend along named Kristen and we had a great week visiting temples, ashrams and chrurches, sampling new foods, meeting new people, traveling by bus (and getting scammed!) and of course seeing the Taj Mahal!  It took Mamie a few days to get used to India but I think all the experiences made a lifelong impression on her and Kristen.  I’m so glad that they were bold enough to come and that I was able to share a bit of India with them!
