In honor of Father’s Day, today’s post is a list of things I love about my dad.

He loves to talk and give advice.  His stories and advice take a long time but most of the advice is pretty good! :)

He would do anything for his family.

Every time I was sick and in the hospital as a kid he would spend the night in my room…usually in a very uncomfortable chair…and he would tell me that if he could trade places with me he would.

He paid for 47 semesters of college and graduate school and 3 study abroad programs for my sisters and me and rarely complained about it :)

He gives back to our local community by donating his time and his resources.

He is very proud of his kids and grandkids.

He truly loves and respects my mother and set a great example for how we should love and be loved

Every year he calls me at Christmas and gives me a budget to shop for a gift for him to give my mom for Christmas. He knows that his daughters will be able to get her just the right thing :) I’m pretty sure my Mom is onto us though.

He never missed a parent-teacher conference, a swim meet, a tennis match, a track meet or anything.  He only missed one dance recital in all my years dancing and that was when his father was dying but he remembered to send me flowers to make up for it. He was truly there for everything.

He’s driven many UHAUL’s across the country to move my sisters and me into countless dorm rooms and apartments.

He supported me financially during my time in Washington D.C. so that I could afford to pursue my dream of working in politics.

He came all the way to visit me in India!

Thanks Dad for supporting us and always being there for us all these years! WE LOVE YOU!
