Traveling with my mom recently reminded me of all the reasons I love her so todays post is a list of the things I love most about my mom Susan.

My mom spells everything exactly the way it sounds which is often not how it’s actually spelled.

If 4 people are coming to dinner my mom will make enough food for 8.

If you ask my mom to do anything it will be done within the hour.  She never sits idle.

She loves to brag about her kids and her grandkids. She makes sure we know how proud she is of us.

She’s always up for an adventure. She even convinced my dad to visit me in India!

She carted the 4 of us to ballet, tennis, piano, track, swimming, summer camp and probably lots of other things I’m forgetting.

If something is on sale she buys 10 even if she only needs 2.

She has a great sense of style, always looks great and does her hair and makeup before going anywhere.

She has a strong sense of community and works hard to make hers a better place.

If anyone asks her to help with anything she says yes.

She decorates her house for every holiday.

She would do anything, absolutely anything for my dad, sisters and nieces and nephews and me.

She coddled us growing up yet still managed to raise us to be fiercely independent.

She raised us to believe we could do or be anything we wanted.

Once when someone told her she was lucky her kids turned out so well she responded by saying “it wasn’t luck, it was hard work!”

Thanks mom!  I know how hard you worked raising us!  I love and appreciate you more and more everyday!
